Our name is a mashup of the words “ardent” and “catalyst.” We are passionate change agents who believe in a future where organizations can succeed in the digital world by replacing un­certainty with understanding. We bring decades of experience and expertise in cyber opera­tions, cyber resiliency engineering, and line of business applica­tions and development. We believe in a threat-based approach to cybersecurity and defense to help solve our customers chal­lenges by aligning threat with traditional business operations. Ardalyst President Michael Speca

Michael Speca


Michael has more than 20 years of experience providing IT services. His career started in systems administration and end-user support and has included: application development on Microsoft platforms; configuration management and system design; and project and portfolio management. Prior to serving as Ardalyst’s President, he was a Vice President at Avanade, Inc., where he oversaw investments in the development of Microsoft Dynamics capabilities. Michael has a bachelor’s degree from The George Washington University and an executive Master’s of Business Administration from the Robert H. Smith School at the University of Maryland.

Josh O’Sullivan

Chief Technology Officer

Josh has more than 18 years of technical innovation and leadership experience evolving Navy mission and capabilities to support core missions. His active duty service as a Naval Officer and FFRDC expertise as a cyber research engineer and FCC/C10F Technical Advisor for MITRE Corporation directly shaped future capabilities for Navy Networks, Cyberspace Operations and Resilient Command and Control. Josh has a bachelor’s degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a master’s degree in systems engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, and an executive Master’s of Business Administration from the Robert H. Smith School at the University of Maryland.

Ardalyst SVP, Cyber Services Dan Oldham

Dan Oldham

Senior Vice President, Cyber Services

Dan is a retired active duty master chief with more than 30 years of operational, technical and leadership experience evolving and implementing Navy mission and capabilities. He previously served as senior technical advisor at Fleet Cyber Command, providing operational guidance on the design and employment of defensive cyber operations capabilities. He worked on development of operational requirements for cyber situational awareness, providing critical technical gap awareness to inform senior executive leadership and partner stakeholders. He also provided executive leadership at the Pacific Fleet Command and the U.S. Navy and Information Assurance Directorate at the National Security Agency.

Ardalyst SVP of Operations and Finance Ingrid Jansen

Ingrid Jansen

Vice President, Operations and Finance

Ingrid has 30 years of experience providing operations and information technology expertise to various organizations, both as a full time employee and as a consultant, in settings from small businesses to large government agencies. She is an expert in designing, implementing and refining processes to support business and corporate goals. She served as Operations Manager/Director at multiple companies, including the technology firm Invoke Systems, where she designed and implemented business processes and managed a team of operations/administrative professionals. Ingrid has a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Syracuse University.

Ardalyst VP of Business Development Chris Barron

Chris Barron

Vice President, Business Development

Chris has more than 12 years of experience in logistics, operations and sales management for federal and military organizations. He previously served as the Logistics Operations Manager for Xator Corporation, where he led an initiative to design, install, integrate and test technical security capabilities for State Department Tactical Operations Centers and Threat Intelligence Fusion cells. He also provided onsite programmatic support for U.S. Army reconstruction and efforts in Afghanistan. Chris has a bachelor’s degree from Cabrini University and an executive Master’s of Business Administration from the Robert H. Smith School at the University of Maryland.
